This project was completed in late 2005. We added a kitchen on to the rear of the house, increased the size of the dining room and added a laundry and powder room. The owner had given the project a great deal of thought and knew where she wanted all the kitchen elements placed. The kitchen used a variety of materials to add texture; the cabinetry was built by a cabinet maker in Chester County. By making the kitchen face the rear of the house it allowed the owners to enjoy a view of the rear garden. We also added a port- cochere on the side of the house to protect the owners from the elements but also maintain the vista to the rear of the house.
