The Farm Cabin

The Farm Cabin

For this project, the homeowner had two 1800′s cabins moved to his property and connected together to form one structure.  A brick foundation and two fireplaces were constructed for the structure.  The homeowner contracted Celtic Works to complete the restoration of the cabin, into a functional hunting/retreat center.  As seen in the pictures below, there was extensive termite and water damage to the main structure of the building, which had to be addressed.  No corners were cut in the reconstruction of this building.  All walls, floors and ceilings were clad in pine and cypress, most of which, was recovered from the site.  The entire house was insulated with spray foam insulation, providing an air tight interior envelope.  All plumbing and lighting fixtures were selected by the homeowner, and complement the all-wood interior flawlessly.  The final product is a beautiful display of old world building and craftsmanship, meshed with modern technology.  Check out the before and after photos below!
